Stourk turns the date and place stored with your photos into a private animated journey — on your iPhone. No account, no server, no analytics.
Stourk needs permission to read the dates and locations stored with your photos. It cannot delete, edit, move or organise photographs, and it never uploads them. If you granted limited access and want to change the selection, use Settings → Open Photo Settings in the app, which takes you to the Photos section of iOS Settings.
Stourk skips photos that have no location metadata, and photos from iCloud Shared Albums. Screenshots and most images saved from the web have no location, so they will not appear. If a photo lives only in iCloud, its thumbnail may take a moment to arrive when opened.
The printed distance is approximate. Photo locations are discrete samples, not a GPS track: two photographs show where you were, but not the road you took between them. Stourk draws the shortest arc between known places and measures that.
Settings → Rescan Library rebuilds the index from your photos. Settings → Clear Local Map Data deletes the index from your iPhone; Stourk will not read your library again until you ask it to. Your photos are never affected by either.
